Man in Famagusta starts fire after breakup
A 42-year-old man in Famagusta started a fire after arguing with his partner, who, according to police, had decided to break up with him.
While under the influence of alcohol, he placed various items on a camping gas burner near an apartment building and set them on fire with a lighter.
The fire quickly spread to two parked cars nearby. As a result, both vehicles sustained damage to the front and rear sections.
After the incident, the man was arrested by police. It is also reported that he refused to undergo an alcohol test, failing to provide the required breath sample.
The investigation is ongoing.
