TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel Issues Message for the Start of Ramadan
On February 18, 2026, in Northern Cyprus, TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel published a message marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
In his message, the head of government expressed his wish for Turkish Cypriots to spend this period in peace, strengthening family and neighborly bonds and fostering social solidarity. He noted that Ramadan is a time when mutual aid, generosity, patience, and a sense of responsibility come to the fore, and when differences are left in the past as society unites around shared values.
Ünal Üstel emphasized the importance of cohesion and mutual support within the community. He extended wishes for health, tranquility, and prosperity to the residents of the TRNC, as well as to citizens in the Republic of Türkiye and the entire Islamic world. The address is congratulatory in nature and aims to strengthen unity and neighborly relations during the period of Ramadan.
