Hür-İş union demands urgent meeting of the minimum wage commission
The Hür-İş Federation of Trade Unions has submitted an official request to the TRNC Ministry of Labour and Social Security, demanding that the Minimum Wage Determination Commission be convened urgently. The reason cited is the continuing rise in the cost of living and the difficult economic conditions on the island.
Today at 14:00, federation chairman Ahmet Serdaroğlu, together with members of the board, will make an official statement to the press directly in front of the ministry building, where they will present their demands and their assessment of the current economic situation.
