Three samples found unfit during food inspections in Northern Cyprus
The Department of Agriculture conducted weekly inspections of imported and local products from 31 July to 6 August. All 52 tested samples of imported products met the established requirements.
Of the 21 samples of local products, 18 were deemed fit for consumption. Violations were identified in three samples, and the products are therefore subject to destruction. Specifically, residues of plant protection products prohibited for consumption were found in grapes produced in Yeşilyurt and molokhia grown in Famagusta.
All products that do not meet the established requirements will be destroyed.
