Drunk driver involved in collision in Lefke: both drivers under investigation
Two cars collided in Lefke. One of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol, and an investigation has been launched into both people involved in the crash.
According to police, the accident occurred on the evening of July 10 on İstiklal Street. The driver F.A. (35), in whose blood 125 mg of alcohol was detected, crossed into the oncoming lane. At that moment, a vehicle driven by M.M.G. (26) was also moving in violation from the opposite direction, after which the collision occurred.
As a result of the accident, F.A. was injured. After receiving medical treatment at Cengiz Topel State Hospital, he was released home.
Police have launched proceedings against both drivers. The investigation is ongoing.
