Turkish Airlines plane failed to land in Ercan and was diverted to Adana
A Turkish Airlines aircraft operating a flight from Istanbul to Ercan Airport was unable to land and was diverted to Çukurova Airport in Adana. This was reported by passengers on the flight.
According to witnesses, before attempting to land, the plane circled the Ercan Airport area several times. After landing did not take place, the aircraft was directed to Adana.
Passengers said that after landing at Çukurova Airport, they were not given an explanation for why the plane could not land in Ercan. People were waiting for official information from the crew and representatives of the airline.
It is also reported that panic began among the passengers, and some felt unwell.
Passengers are demanding that the competent authorities and Turkish Airlines provide a clear explanation of the reasons that prevented the landing in Ercan.
