Climbers ask for road project in Arapkoy to be changed
The North Cyprus climbing community has submitted a petition to the authorities calling for changes to the road expansion project currently under active construction near the village of Arapkoy.
The current project could threaten the existence of the popular Garga climbing site, which is regularly used by local athletes. The routes located here are included in the official list of climbing routes in North Cyprus. Climbers are calling on the authorities to reconsider the project in order to preserve the site and the opportunity to continue using it for sports activities.
