Rescued green sea turtle returned to the sea after treatment
A young green sea turtle, found several months ago in a critical condition, was released back into the sea after completing treatment. This was announced by Taşkent Nature Park director Kemal Basat.
The turtle was discovered in March on the public beach of Yeni Erenköy. Its limbs were tangled in plastic waste, and it was severely emaciated and injured.
After several months of treatment and rehabilitation, the animal has fully recovered. The turtle was released into its natural habitat on the same beach where it was found.
Kemal Basat thanked everyone who took part in rescuing and treating the animal, as well as those who came to see it off when it returned to the sea.
