SÜTEK paid milk producers 210.9 million liras for the first half of July
The Dairy Industry Department (SÜTEK) under the TRNC Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources settled payments with producers for raw milk delivered from July 1 to 15. A total of 745 farms received the payment, amounting to 210,943,127 liras.
The calculation included milk from both small and large ruminants. On average, each farm received around 283,000 liras for the half-month delivery period.
SÜTEK is a state institution responsible for raw milk procurement in Northern Cyprus: it collects raw materials from farms and settles payments with them according to billing periods. The department itself announced today’s payment.
The money for the first half of July reached producers on August 27 — six weeks after the end of the billing period.
