Temperatures to rise again above normal: Weather in the TRNC for September 12

According to the TRNC Meteorological Department, on Thursday, September 12, the region will continue to experience low pressure combined with cool, moist air in the upper atmosphere. Meteorologists are forecasting partly cloudy skies with showers.

Temperatures will once again rise by 2-3°C above seasonal norms. Across most of the country, temperatures will stay within the range of 30-37°C. The forecast shows that the heaviest rainfall will occur in the central parts of the country and on the Karpas Peninsula.

Northern Cyprus continues to face two active weather warnings. The risk of natural wildfires remains high, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation levels are still elevated. It’s advised not to spend more than 15 minutes in direct sunlight, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking the necessary precautions.
