Six Injured in Bus Crash in Northern Cyprus
Six people were injured in a collision between a bus and a car in Northern Cyprus. All of them were taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to police reports, the accident happened yesterday at around 18:10 on the Güzelyurt–Lefke highway. Near the 3–4 km mark, the bus driver lost control, veered into the opposite lane, and crashed into a service vehicle belonging to the Electricity Supply Institute.
Among the injured were three bus passengers, both drivers, and a passenger from the car. They were initially taken to the state hospital in Lefkoşa. Later, the car’s driver and passenger were transferred to the emergency department of Dr. Cengiz Topel Hospital in Lefke.
The bus driver remains in intensive care, while the other injured passengers are receiving treatment in the orthopedic department.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
