An Environmental Tour of Turtle Nesting Sites Will Take Place in Famagusta
On Saturday, the Her Daim Doğa Dostları group will hold an environmental event dedicated to coastal plants and the places where sea turtles lay their eggs.
The event will begin at 06:30 a.m.. The meeting point is the entrance to DAÜ Beach Club. Participants will walk along an approximately 800-metre stretch of coastline between DAÜ Beach Club, Glapsides and Silver Beach to examine the state of nature and the factors affecting the coastal ecosystem. The group’s chairman, Yusuf Şentyuğ, noted that this area remains one of the last places where nature is preserved amid numerous entertainment venues.
The organisers called on residents to join the event and support the preservation of Famagusta’s beaches, coastal plants and sea turtle nesting sites.
