Drunk man sets his own car on fire in Kyrenia
A 45-year-old man was detained in Kyrenia after he set fire to a car belonging to his company while under the influence of alcohol.
The incident took place on July 12 at around 11:45 on Aygül Street. According to police, the man refused to undergo an alcohol test, after which he doused the car with a flammable liquid and set it on fire for no apparent reason.
The car burned completely. Firefighters who arrived at the scene extinguished the blaze.
An investigation has been launched against the detained man on charges related to being drunk in a public place, disturbing the peace and inappropriate behavior.
