Suspect detained in Kyrenia over major theft of gold and cash from residential home
A 33-year-old man (H.K.) has been detained in Kyrenia on suspicion of committing a major theft from a residential home. According to the police press office, the crime took place between June 12 and 13 on Şehit Mehmet Taner Erol Kardeşler Street.
The suspect entered the house by opening the kitchen door and stole 16 full gold coins (republic gold) and 350,000 Turkish lira in cash that were kept there. During the investigation and operational search, police identified the suspect and took him into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
