New Recreation Area Opens in the Village of Agıllar in İskele

A new 2,400-square-metre recreation area created for children, young people and families has opened in the village of Agıllar in the İskele region. According to the İskele Municipality, the project includes a modern basketball court, walking paths, a football pitch, recreational areas and landscaped grounds.

İskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu attended the opening ceremony and handed out gifts to children. Agıllar Mukhtar Ali Akkoyun called the new recreation area an important asset for the village and thanked the İskele Municipality and the mayor for implementing the project.

Sadıkoğlu noted that the new space is not only an infrastructure facility but also a contribution to the village’s social life. He said the municipality would continue implementing projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents both in central İskele and in the villages. «The best investment a municipality can make is an investment in people», the mayor said.
