The 14th Larnaca Folk Night took place in İskele

The 14th Larnaca Folk Night, organized by the İskele Municipality together with the Association of People from Larnaca, took place in İskele. The event was held at the Open-Air Cultural Center as part of the 54th Pier Festival.

Speaking to guests, İskele Mayor Hasan Sadiqoglu noted that this evening helps preserve the memory of Larnaca, strengthens friendly ties and brings people together around a shared cultural heritage.

According to him, the Pier Festival has remained an important platform for the development of culture, art, sports and social life for more than half a century, while Larnaca Folk Night serves as a bridge between generations.

The mayor thanked the Association of People from Larnaca for organizing the event and подчеркнул that such gatherings should be preserved and passed on to future generations as a symbol of unity and solidarity.

For the guests, traditional Larnaca dishes were prepared — rice with chicken and chickpeas, as well as the dessert Acuva. In addition, folk dance groups performed for the participants, a photo exhibition dedicated to Larnaca's past was organized, and a documentary film by researcher and writer Dervish Gurel about the history of the city was shown.
