Man in Lapta falls from 9-metre height while trying to descend to balcony on television cable
35-year-old Gani Doskalı tried to enter his apartment through the balcony after the door was locked. To do so, he climbed onto the roof and tied a television cable around his waist to descend to the balcony of his apartment on the third floor.
According to police, the incident occurred around 01:00 on the grounds of a residential complex on Piyale Pasha Street. During the descent, the cable broke and the man fell approximately 9 metres onto the ground. The injured man was taken to Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa. After receiving medical treatment, he was kept under observation.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
