Minibus hits pedestrian in Lefkoşa: woman in serious condition
According to police, the accident occurred on July 28 at around 18:00 on Atatürk Avenue. The TLT 858 minibus, driven by 50-year-old Ferdi Cem Demir, was travelling east. As he approached the junction with İhsan Güven Street, the driver allegedly failed to pay attention and hit 54-year-old Mediha Yücel, who was crossing the road from south to north.
The injured woman was taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa. After receiving medical treatment, she was admitted to the hospital, and her condition is considered serious.
The minibus driver has been detained. The investigation is ongoing.
