Free screening of Northern Cyprus national team’s CONIFA Euro 2026 match to be held in Yenikent Park

Gönyeli-Alayköy Municipality has officially invited residents and visitors to a large-scale open-air community event dedicated to supporting the national team at the CONIFA Euro 2026 football championship. This evening, a special fan zone with a huge LED screen and professional sound equipment will be set up in Yenikent Park for the live broadcast of the most important match. The organizers aim to recreate the atmosphere of a real stadium so that city residents can gather with their families and friends, share the excitement of the game and support local footballers.

As part of tonight’s broadcast, fans will watch a live clash between the national team of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the strong «County of Nice» team (Rhone Provence). City services have already completed preparations of the park infrastructure to accommodate a large number of visitors, provided additional seating and taken care of public safety measures in the recreation area. Municipal authorities emphasize that such joint screenings strengthen the sense of community among residents and provide a powerful boost of support for athletes competing on the international stage.

The official start of the broadcast and entertainment program is scheduled for today, June 4, at 18:30. Entry to the fan zone in Yenikent Park is completely free and open to everyone without prior registration. The city administration urges motorists to plan their routes and parking in the area of the event in advance, and also invites everyone to come in national sports colors and with the team’s flags.
