Large-scale inspection carried out in the livestock farm area of Haspolat under the leadership of the district administrator
Nicosia District Administration announced an increase in inspection activities and carried out large-scale inspections in the area of the Haspolat livestock farms. The raid began at noon on June 12, 2026, and continued until late in the evening. The inspection was personally attended by the head of the Nicosia district administration (kaymakam), Cemal Kuyucu, as well as three district inspectors, representatives of the Department of Labour, the Ministry of Health, and officers of the Police General Directorate.
During the raid, the inspecting authorities carefully examined the legality of workers’ employment and the availability of work permits, the sanitary and hygienic condition of the farms, the living and accommodation conditions of employees, as well as issues related to public order. For all violations recorded, specialists promptly prepared official reports to initiate the relevant judicial proceedings.
The district administration office emphasized that such coordinated inspections in the region will continue without interruption in order to protect safety, public order and public health. The district leadership also expressed its official gratitude to the Police General Directorate, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Health for their prompt assistance and support during the large-scale inspection activities.
