Man stops rolling car with his bare hands in Istanbul — dramatic moment caught on video
Eyewitnesses witnessed an unusual incident in Istanbul’s Başakşehir district. A passenger car parked on a slope unexpectedly began rolling backwards, posing a threat to other vehicles and pedestrians.
When the owner noticed the movement, he instantly jumped out of the car and tried to stop it literally with his bare hands. The footage shows the man bracing himself against the bodywork and holding the car back for several seconds, preventing it from gaining speed. Thanks to his actions, a collision with other vehicles was avoided.
The incident unfolded within seconds and was captured by a surveillance camera. The video quickly spread across social media, where users described the man’s actions as a true display of selflessness. Many noted that such an attempt could have ended in serious injuries, but this time no one was hurt.
The reasons why the car began moving have not been officially reported. Presumably, the vehicle was not securely enough fixed on the slope.
