Three suspects detained in the TRNC for thefts
Police in the TRNC have detained three people on suspicion of committing thefts in Gemikonağı, Kyrenia and Famagusta.
In Gemikonağı, a 23-year-old man took groceries and cosmetics worth 4,519 Turkish lira from a supermarket without paying for the purchases. After the store contacted the police, the suspect was quickly identified and detained.
In Kyrenia, a 22-year-old employee of an auto tire shop is suspected of stealing four tires from his employer’s warehouse. The total value of the stolen items amounted to 21,888 Turkish lira. The man has been detained.
In Famagusta, police detained a 65-year-old man who was wanted in connection with the theft of three creams worth 1,710 Turkish lira from a pharmacy in January this year. The suspect was found upon entering the TRNC through Ercan Airport.
The investigation into all three criminal cases is ongoing.
