A triathlon will take place in Lefke on Sunday, with traffic restrictions in place
On Sunday, 19 July, a triathlon organised by the Turkish Cypriot Triathlon Federation will take place in Lefke. As a result, temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect on a number of roads from 07:00 to 10:00.
The cycling and running stages will follow a route from Lefke Municipal Public Beach to the Bağlıköy junction and onwards towards the road to Yeşilırmak (Fener).
Police motorcycles will accompany the athletes throughout the competition, while junctions along the route will be temporarily closed to traffic.
Police urged drivers to exercise caution, reduce their speed and follow the instructions of officers ensuring the safety of the event.
