Girne Military Hospital Begins Serving Insured TRNC Citizens

Under the Health Support Protocol signed between the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the 1963 Dated 24 December Girne Military Hospital has officially begun providing outpatient examination and treatment services to insured citizens. The new rules came into force after all intergovernmental coordination procedures were completed.

Categories of citizens eligible for medical care:
According to the intergovernmental agreement, the following groups may receive free or subsidized medical services at the hospital:
— Citizens of the TRNC and the Republic of Türkiye who are officially registered in the state social insurance system (Sosyal Sigorta).
— Active civil servants, public-sector healthcare workers and civilian pensioners of the TRNC.
— Dependents and close relatives of the above categories of persons, supported by them in accordance with national legislation.
— Veterans-mujahideen (Mücahit Gaziler), as well as family members of veterans and fallen defenders (şehit yakınları).

Appointment and service procedure:
Medical services for the specified categories of the population at Girne Military Hospital are provided strictly by prior appointment. Consultations are conducted in the form of outpatient visits followed by treatment.
