Eight people detained for drunken disorderly conduct in public places
Northern Cyprus police detained eight people who, while intoxicated, were disturbing public order in Lefkoşa, Famagusta, Girne and İskele.
According to the police, the incidents occurred on 15 and 16 July. The detainees were shouting loudly, making noise and disturbing people around them in public places. Some of them took an alcohol test, which showed that they had exceeded the permitted limit, while the others refused to undergo the check.
Investigations into all the incidents are ongoing.
