Drone flight ban around Ercan Airport extended for another month
Authorities in Northern Cyprus have extended the ban on the use of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles in the area around Ercan Airport for another month. The restriction will remain in force until further notice.
The ban applies to the villages of Akıncılar, Erdemli, Kırklar, Gaziköy, Gaziler, Paşaköy, Yiğitler, Kırıkkale, Meriç, Dilekkaya, Balıkesir and surrounding areas.
Authorities urged residents and organisations to strictly observe the current restrictions, warning that violations of the ban are subject to legal liability under the law.
