Undeclared luxury goods worth €64,000 found at Larnaca Airport

Customs authorities in southern Cyprus discovered luxury goods worth around €64,000 at Larnaca Airport that had not been declared upon entry into the country.

According to the Fileleftheros newspaper, a check of one couple’s luggage revealed two expensive watches, as well as footwear and clothing from well-known brands.

It was established that the discovered items were worth approximately €64,000. The passengers had not reported the goods to customs authorities when crossing the border.

The couple are reportedly citizens of the Republic of Cyprus and of Russian origin.

Procedures have been initiated against the owners of the goods in accordance with customs legislation.
