Bank of Cyprus Updates Its App
Bank of Cyprus, the largest bank in the Republic of Cyprus, has introduced a long-awaited update to its BoC Mobile App. Users will now find it much easier to navigate their spending history and track card transactions.
The main new feature is the automatic decoding of complex legal names of merchants, which until now were often displayed as incomprehensible strings of letters and terminal codes. The bank has replaced them with familiar and easily recognizable commercial brands, adding the official logo of the company (supermarket, petrol station, restaurant, etc.) to each transaction.
In addition, an interactive map with exact geolocation is now available within the details of each payment. With a single click, users can see the specific address and the place on the map where the purchase was made or cash was withdrawn.
According to the bank’s representatives, this update not only improves the convenience of managing personal finances, but also strengthens security: customers will be able to instantly identify suspicious or unauthorized transactions if the location and merchant name seem unfamiliar to them.
