More than 80% of young graduates in Cyprus successfully find jobs
According to the latest statistical data, Cyprus is showing strong employment rates among young people: more than 80% of graduates from higher and secondary specialized educational institutions find jobs in their field or related areas within the first year after graduation. This places the island among the EU leaders in terms of youth employment.
The main drivers of employment growth remain the information technology, professional and financial services sectors, as well as tourism and hospitality. At the same time, analysts note that despite the strong overall figures, a structural imbalance remains in the labor market: graduates in technical and economics-related fields adapt more quickly, while young specialists with humanities degrees more often face a prolonged job search or are forced to accept part-time work.
