BrainRocket closes offices in Limassol and offers employees relocation to Spain

Technology company BrainRocket has closed all its offices and rented premises in Limassol and offered most of its remaining employees relocation to Spain or other countries where it has operations. This was reported by Politis. Signs have been removed from the buildings, while those who remain in Cyprus for now have been instructed to work remotely without a specified end date.

A small number of employees may move to companies within the Soft2Bet group, which includes BrainRocket, but the main Cyprus operation has effectively ceased working.

The withdrawal took more than a year. In summer 2025, the company began moving operations from Limassol to Valencia. At the time, around 1,500 people worked for the company in Cyprus, and the restructuring affected more than 1,000 of them. Several hundred agreed to relocate — mainly to Valencia, while smaller groups moved to Malta.

Foreign employees gradually left, while many Cypriots who stayed found jobs at other technology and forex companies in Limassol.

In mid-2025, following contacts between the company’s management and President Nikos Christodoulides, plans emerged for BrainRocket to maintain a presence on the island and hire new employees locally. Those plans did not materialise: people continued to leave, the company expanded abroad, and vacancies were increasingly opened in Valencia, with relocation assistance, moving costs and temporary accommodation provided.

Cyprus is still listed as a workplace on the company’s website, with an address on Makarios III Avenue in Limassol. But the closed premises, removed signs and employees’ relocation abroad mark the end of its large-scale presence in Cyprus, where it was one of the notable employers.
