Road in Konia opened to two-way traffic ahead of schedule

The road in Konia was opened to full two-way traffic on 23 July at 16:00 — significantly ahead of the deadline set by the contract.

The project was originally scheduled for completion in September, but thanks to coordination between the Paphos Municipality, engineers and the contractor, the work was completed ahead of schedule.

Acting Mayor of Paphos Angelos Onisiforou thanked residents for their patience during the temporary restrictions and noted that the project’s main goal was to improve everyday traffic while causing minimal inconvenience to citizens.

The Deputy Head of the Konia Community expressed satisfaction with the road’s opening and highlighted the contribution of everyone involved in the project. Drivers were nevertheless urged to remain cautious, as the contractor will continue carrying out certain works until the project is fully completed.
