Two people arrested over shooting at company in Limassol
Cyprus ranked third among European Union countries by the number of people receiving temporary protection from Ukraine per 1,000 residents. In June, the figure stood at 26.8 people per 1,000 residents, Eurostat reports.
This morning, officers from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department and the Limassol Crime Prevention Police Department arrested two people aged 20 and 36 in connection with the shooting at a company building in Limassol that took place in June.
The incident occurred on 3 June 2026. At around 7:30 a.m., an employee responsible for cleaning the building discovered damage to the glass balcony railing of the company’s offices.
During the investigation, it was established that at around 4:20 a.m. on the same day, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle approached the building. The passenger fired several shots in the direction of the building, after which both fled the scene.
Today, the two suspects appeared before the Limassol District Court. The court ordered that they be remanded in custody for eight days.
The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its investigation.
