At around 00:25 on 20 August, an electric scooter caught fire in an apartment on the third floor of a residential building in the Agios Antonios area of Nicosia. Three fire engines arrived at the scene from stations near Paphos Gate and Kaimakli.
The fire and high temperatures seriously damaged the electric scooter, while the smoke damaged part of the wall covering in the apartment. The resident noticed the fire in time and managed to put it out before it spread.
