French Aircraft Carrier Charles de Gaulle Expected off the Coast of Cyprus

The French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is expected off the coast of Cyprus in a few hours and is anticipated to remain in the area for a considerable time.
According to ERT, the French aircraft carrier is currently southwest of Cyprus and will arrive off its shores by midnight, accompanied by two French frigates and one Italian frigate.
It is heading to the Eastern Mediterranean to ensure regional security and protect the maritime zone off the coast of Lebanon.
Latest reports from ERT indicate it is followed by a state-of-the-art helicopter carrier serving as a military base, capable of carrying up to 35 helicopters and 450 troops, as well as possessing humanitarian capabilities for potential civilian evacuations.
There may be a plan concerning the maritime area around Lebanon.
During his visit to Cyprus, the French President emphasized that the current wave of attacks "is not our war," noting that France maintains a defensive posture. He reaffirmed that Paris remains on high alert to maintain stability and security in the region.
He specifically mentioned the role of the aircraft carrier, calling it a reliable benchmark for France during international crises. According to the French President, the mission of the Charles de Gaulle is clear and aimed solely at strengthening security in the Eastern Mediterranean, protecting Cyprus, monitoring the maritime area opposite Lebanon, and securing European borders.
