Cyprus sends €200,000 in humanitarian aid to Lebanon
The Republic of Cyprus has sent humanitarian aid worth around €200,000 to Lebanon under the CyprusAid programme, following a decision by the Council of Ministers.
A shipment of 31 containers of medicines and medical supplies was dispatched from the port of Limassol on 26 July 2026 and has already arrived at the port of Beirut.
The deliveries were organised in close cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that since the beginning of 2026, the total amount of humanitarian aid provided to Lebanon had reached €840,000.
In addition, in September, under the CyprusAid programme, Lebanese citizens will be awarded scholarships to participate in short-term educational programmes, seminars and courses, as well as to study at higher education institutions in the Republic of Cyprus.
