Cyprus among EU leaders in rental price growth
Cyprus has emerged among the European Union countries with the fastest growth in residential rental prices, exacerbating the housing affordability problem on the island.
According to data published in a European Commission report, rental costs in Cyprus are rising faster than the EU average, increasingly impacting the real estate market and the living standards of residents.
Experts note that the price increase is linked to limited housing supply, rising demand, and the general increase in the cost of living. The problem is particularly acute in major cities and popular tourist areas.
Against the backdrop of these trends, the housing crisis in Cyprus continues to intensify, making the issue of affordable housing one of the key social problems.
