Cyprus’s Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry has opened applications for a €1.7 million subsidy scheme. The funds are intended for Cypriot companies that will present their products at international trade fairs in 2027. The announcement was made by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE).

The scheme operates under the de minimis rule and covers participation only in trade fairs where the ministry sets up a national stand. Applications are open to companies that produce and sell industrial and agricultural products, as well as to related service sectors. The aim of the programme is to expand Cypriot production and trade into foreign markets and increase export volumes.

Applications can be submitted until 18 September 2026. Government support applies to four major international trade fairs in Europe and the Middle East during 2027.

These are Fruit Logistica in Berlin, from 3 to 5 February 2027, for fresh fruit and vegetables; ProWein in Düsseldorf, from 7 to 9 March 2027, for wine and spirits; Gulfood in Dubai, from 15 to 19 March 2027; and the food trade fair Anuga in Cologne, from 9 to 13 October 2027.

The ministry stressed that the publication of the announcement does not constitute a commitment: participation in a specific trade fair may be cancelled if too few applications are received or approval of the budget is delayed. Information guides and application forms are available on the Trade Service website in the section on subsidy schemes for national stands. Enquiries can be made by calling 22-867268, 22-867192 or 22-867209.
