Cyprus Ranked Among the Four Most Attractive Countries for Millionaires
Cyprus ranked fourth in the world and first in Europe in terms of attractiveness for wealthy investors and millionaires. These data are given in the study Millionaires on the Move: Winners, Losers, and the Global Competition for Wealth in 2026, published by Henley & Partners.
The island received 73.5 points out of 100. The study’s authors note that Cyprus attracts wealthy foreigners thanks to the relatively easy path to residency, a favorable tax system, a stable legal environment, protection of property rights, a high quality of life, and a convenient geographic location between Europe, the Middle East and Africa. An additional advantage is said to be the country’s membership in the European Union.
Singapore topped the global ranking. It was followed by New Zealand and the Cayman Islands. After Cyprus, the top ten also included the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Bermuda, Hungary and Latvia.
The company notes that this year the research methodology was changed. While the ranking used to be based on the number of millionaires who relocated, countries are now assessed across 12 criteria, including tax policy, the rule of law, quality of life, geopolitical stability and conditions for doing business.
Experts believe that wealthy foreigners’ interest in Cyprus contributes to capital inflows, business and real estate market growth, as well as the creation of new jobs on the island.
