Cyprus wins second silver medal at the Mediterranean Games
Cyprus won its second medal at the 20th Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026. A Cypriot athlete won the silver medal in kayaking and canoeing. She finished second in the women’s K1 500-metre final with a time of 2:02.19.
Cyprus’s first medal at the Games was won by Bogdan Zabelinski. In other canoeing events, Daniel Sirotin won the B final in the K1 1000-metre event with a time of 3:59.92. Antonis Kyriakou finished fourth — 4:03.12.
The duo of Daniel Sirotin and Antonis Kyriakou finished eighth in the K2 500-metre final with a time of 1:35.61.
