Cypriot cyclists finish in the top 15 at the Balkan Downhill Championships

Five Cypriot athletes finished among the best in their categories at the Balkan Downhill Championships, held on 24–25 July in the Poiana Brașov mountains of Romania.

Cyprus champion Andreas Theodorou was the best performer among the Cypriot team, finishing 6th in the Balkan Championships and 15th overall.

Another Cyprus champion, Theoharidou, finished 5th in her category.

Omiros Panayi finished 11th in the under-17 category, while Daniel Yonkow took 11th place among the under-19 participants.

Not all of the Cypriot athletes managed to complete the competition. Dimitris Kittenis was injured during training on the day of the final race and was unable to start.
