Horse nearly ran onto the Limassol–Paphos motorway

A dangerous situation occurred near the Sotira exit on the Limassol — Paphos motorway. According to an eyewitness, an unattended horse was near the road and at one point nearly ran onto the carriageway.

The incident was reported on social media. The animal was spotted on a dirt area beside the motorway.

If the horse had reached the road, it could have caused a serious accident, as vehicles travel at high speed on this section.

There has been no information yet on whether the animal was returned to its owner or moved away from the motorway.
