Extreme heat up to 42°C is expected in Cyprus on June 4th

According to the data from the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, Friday, May 31st will be influenced by high pressure and warm air masses.

Today, during the first half of the day, the weather will mainly be clear. According to the meteorological forecast, temperatures will reach up to 42°C in inland areas, up to 37°C on the southern and eastern coasts, and up to 31°C on the remaining coasts, as well as in mountainous areas. By evening, the weather will remain predominantly clear and sunny.

The air temperature will drop to 24°C inland and on the coasts, and to 20°C in mountainous areas.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are expected to be predominantly sunny. On Friday, a fine dust will be observed in the atmosphere.

Temperatures until Friday will remain significantly above average climatic values.
