Housing, water and electricity prices in Cyprus rise by 7%

In July 2026, consumer prices in Cyprus rose by 4.4% compared with July last year. Compared with June, prices increased by 0.7%. Restaurants and accommodation services saw the sharpest annual increase, rising by 12%. Prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 7%.

The largest increase among individual economic categories was recorded in energy, at 10.2% compared with July 2025. Compared with June 2026, prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels increased by a further 1.7%. Prices in restaurants and accommodation services rose by 5.5%, while transport prices increased by 1.9%.

At the same time, some categories became cheaper. Clothing and footwear prices fell by 5.2% year on year, while information and communication goods and services decreased by 2.3%.
