Enrollment in primary school in Cyprus: how to confirm a place for the new school year

The Cyprus Ministry of Education announced on 5 June 2026 that information on enrollment in primary schools for the 2026–2027 school year will be provided through two channels. Parents with an account in the eΔΕΑ electronic system will receive a notification to confirm enrollment on 15 June 2026, while those without an account will have their place confirmed by the school by phone. The procedure applies to parents and guardians of all grades.

Parents of pupils in grades 1 through 6 who are registered on the platform (via CY-Login with a parent/guardian profile and a student profile) will receive a notification confirming enrollment on 15 June 2026 — on the eΔΕΑ portal (https://edea.schools.ac.cy) and by email. If the message contains incorrect details or the notification does not arrive at all, parents should contact the school where the child is enrolled, and they will be informed as soon as the issue is resolved. Phone confirmation for grades 3–6 is not предусмотрено, as this procedure took place on 21–24 April 2026.

If there is no account for pupils in grades 1 and 2, the school will confirm enrollment by phone. This applies to parents who are not linked to the platform — for example, if the enrollment was handled by the school or the district education office, or if the profile was not completed. Parents will be called between 15 and 17 June 2026. During the same period, parents of children in grades 1–2 who are moving abroad or transferring the child to a private school must notify the school themselves by phone.
