Cooler weather, rain and thunderstorms possible in Cyprus from the start of the week

Weather changes are expected in Cyprus. From Sunday, temperatures will begin to gradually fall, and brief rain showers and thunderstorms are possible in the island’s mountainous and inland areas.

According to forecasters, mostly clear weather will persist overnight into Sunday. Low cloud may appear in places along the western coast, while fog and haze are possible by morning in the eastern part of the island. Overnight air temperatures will be around 21°C inland, 23°C on the coast and 19°C in the mountains.

On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, cloud cover is expected to build up during the second half of the day, bringing brief showers and thunderstorms in places in the island’s mountainous and central areas.

Temperatures will gradually fall until Monday and will be slightly below the seasonal norm for this time of year. No significant weather changes are forecast for Tuesday.
