Cyprus to Open School for Students with Challenging Behavior
The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cyprus is planning to launch a pilot alternative school program for students exhibiting challenging behavior. This was announced on Wednesday by the Minister of Education, Athina Michaelidou.
The program, set to begin in October, is designed to provide support to students and their schools and to address dangerous behaviors, such as carrying weapons.
The alternative school will enroll students for four-month periods, offering them educational support and assistance from specialized services.
The Ministry has already selected a location for the school and is finalizing the development of the program, which will be presented shortly.
