Aegean resumes direct flights between Athens and Paphos
Aegean Airlines has resumed direct flights between Athens and Paphos. The first flight took place on July 3, marking the route’s return after several years without air service on this connection.
Flights will operate three times a week. The resumption of the route is expected to improve Paphos’ transport accessibility and expand travel options both within Greece and through Aegean’s international route network, including Germany and other Northern European countries.
Preparations for the launch of the flights had been underway for several months. In February, representatives of Paphos and the airline’s management discussed joint initiatives to promote the new route and strengthen the carrier’s presence at Paphos Airport.
Local authorities and representatives of the tourism sector welcomed Aegean’s return and expressed hope that the airline will soon expand the number of flights and destinations from Paphos Airport.
