Man with a knife attacks former employer at construction site in Limassol

An attempted murder took place today at around 10:00 at a construction site in the Zakaki area of Limassol following a verbal altercation between two young men. According to preliminary police information, a 23-year-old man attacked his former employer, a 24-year-old man, after a heated argument. He stabbed him several times in the abdomen and leg.

Both men involved in the altercation are third-country nationals. The victim was taken by friends to the emergency department of Limassol General Hospital, where he underwent surgery.

The attacker fled the scene. The apartment building under construction where the incident occurred was cordoned off by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, who are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
