29-year-old man detained in Nicosia on suspicion of stealing copper cables

During the investigation, police obtained evidence indicating the 29-year-old man’s involvement. He was detained yesterday at around 18:00.
Further checks showed that the suspect may also be linked to two other similar cases involving the theft of copper from cables, which occurred from last Wednesday to Friday in the Nicosia area.
The man is expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court today. Police intend to request his remand as the investigation continues.
