In Paralimni, driver hits two pedestrians and flees, 29-year-old man in critical condition

In Paralimni, Cyprus, a driver hit two pedestrians and fled the scene. The 29-year-old man is in critical condition, Cyprus Police said.

The accident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on Vrysoudes Street, in the direction of the Ayia Triada roundabout. According to preliminary information, the car hit a 28-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, after which the driver immediately drove away.

An ambulance took both injured people to Famagusta Hospital. The woman received first aid and was discharged, while the man remained in hospital and his condition is considered critical.

The Famagusta Traffic Police Department is investigating the incident. Police are establishing the circumstances of the accident and searching for the car and its driver.
